Hi everyone! I posted my Holiday Prep: Party-Goer Guide last week and today I’m focusing on another aspect of the holidays I love β home decorating! Here are some of my picks for getting holiday-ready in modern style at home. Many of these items are on sale for Black Friday now!
Tinsel Tree
We switched from a real tree to a silver tinsel tree a few years back and have loved the change. I know it doesn’t have that great Christmas smell, but it looks more modern and is SO much easier to deal with! 
Tree Topper
This topper is similar to the one I use as well.
Tree Skirt
I am going to upgrade my tree skirt this year and love the gold color of this one.
Italian Velvet Skirt
Also considering velvet β such a great texture!
Green Platter and Promenade Platters
I love pulling out a few fun platters for entertaining at this time of year. These are inexpensive ones from CB2.
Old Fashioned Glasses
Same with the glasses β these look so festive set out on the bar!
Antler Wreath
Considering this antler wreath to hang in our den.
Little Living Tree
How adorable is this little living tree for a kid’s room or a fireplace?
I love the wreaths and fresh greens from Terrain. They have sold out of a lot of them already but this Magnolia Wreath is a classic. Also love the Spanish Moss Wreath for a more modern look. And how great are the herbs in the Fresh Bay and Olive Wreath!
Preserved Boxwood Wreath
This is the wreath I have now β I bought this boxwood wreath from Amazon last year and plan to put it up again this year.
Paz Glass Trees
These are inexpensive and I love the modern look. I have this set and I arrange them with the Simon Peace trees below for a high-low mix.
Simon Pearce Glass Trees
These glass trees are gorgeous! They come in three sizes.
Fur Throw
This is my winter staple and I can’t say enough good things about this blanket! It’s super-heavy and thick. We have this dune color and snuggle up with it on the couch every night!
Glitter Globe
Going to order this globe to add a festive touch to my living room!
Travel Ornaments
I am a sucker for ornaments. We always buy ornaments when we travel so we can remember our trips. I found a few really cute ones on Nordstrom for a similar idea without having to go anywhere π

I also buy a lot of wine ornaments, haha. I love all the ornaments from Sur La Table.
Macaroons Ornament
And of course I also love Sur La Table’s food ornaments!
Pretzel Ornament
Who doesn’t love pretzels and beer cheese?
Simple Stocking
These stockings are made by Splendid and I love the clean look!
Italian Velvet Stocking
Also loved these Italian Velvet stockings from RH β these come in a variety of colors.
Stocking Holders
I have a modern mantel like this one so need to use a mantel hook to hang thing from. Loving these antlers!

Frasier Fir Candle
A Frasier fir candle is a non-negotiable this time of year. This one is by Thymes and it’s the BEST smell!
Boozy Advent Calendar
How amazing is this boozy advent calendar?! A fresh bottle a day really takes the Christmas sprit up a notch!
Laquer Trays
It’s always handy to have trays around to hold things and carry things β I get most of mine from West Elm and they have some pretty metallic shades that look great for the holidays.
Vintage-Style Champagne Coupes
A Champagne coupe is perfect for the holidays β it makes for such an occasion! These look great set out on a bar.
Ruinart
And you have to have the champagne to go with it!! Ruinart is one of my favorites. If you are looking for other information or recommendations, I did a post on sparkling wine recently.
