The Epitome of Aprés Ski

As part of a new promotion, fans of the Icelandic vodka brand Reyka are being encouraged to try it at the source of their water—Iceland’s Langjokull Glacier. For five days only this month, Reyka will be opening a pop-up bar atop the massive ice sheet—billed as “the world’s first bar on a glacier.” The structure took ten months to build. Getting there seems like the main barrier to me!

Hotel + Art in Nashville

I am loving this concept! 21c Museum Hotel Nashville is a hotel and contemporary art museum rolled into one. There are eight locatiions, but the Nashville location itself boasts roughly 200 pieces of art on display throughout the entire hotel: in the lobby, the restaurant, hallways, elevators, guest rooms, and of course, the art galleries.

The New Apple in Town

A new variety of apple will be available later this year, and not only is it expected to have the same sweetness, tartness, and satisfying crunch of the popular Honeycrisp. The Cosmic Crisp is a cross between Honeycrisp and Enterprise apples, and it has already been described as a “game-changer” and “a once in a generation event.”

Press a Button for Champagne

The anticpation for Virgin Voyages—the forthcoming adults-only cruise line from Richard Branson—continues to build. They have just announced that with one click, you can have a 750-milliliter bottle of Möet Chandon Impérial delivered right on the spot, two glasses in tow. This and other locations offering “press for champagne” at the link!

A Suitcase – Where Not to Put It!

I always think about this, so when I found it in an article I had to pass it along. If you’ve ever wondered why that little covering exists at the end of hotel beds—just think of how many people unpack their bags on the beds. Then think off all the places those little wheels have been (airport bathrooms, city streets) and how many germs are on them. Eww, right? Use the luggage rack instead!

Hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing rest of your weekend!
