A Perfect Long Weekend In Palm Springs

How to maximize three days in the California desert, with intel on where to stay, binge on Midcentury Modern design, soak in hot springs and grab drinks. I have spend a fair amount of time in Palm Springs and still saw some new ideas here!

Wine Fires in Australia

I’m sure many of us are so sad to hear about the wildfires in Australia. Vintners in the Adelaide Hills wine region in the South are assessing their vineyards and properties after the deadly bushfire swept through. More than 60 vineyards and wineries have been impacted, with some vintners losing all of their grapes just a few months before the start of the harvest.

Death of β€œBeaujolais Nouveau” Founder

Georges Duboeuf upended the region’s wine industry, becoming an international symbol for Beaujolais Nouveau as he brought its fruity reds and quaffable nouveau to millions of drinkers around the world.  He was the catalyst of the Beaujolais region at the beginning, then later its tireless ambassador. He died recently of a stroke.

New Year Home Refresh

January – the time of year that we all crave a refresh, a desire to simplify and cleanse the palate from all the holiday festivities! I’ve been on a major cleaning and organizing binge. This article aligns with much of what I’ve been up to – new greenery, new bedding, decluttering…some good tips!

Best Travel Destinations for 2020

Lonely Planet’s best travel destinations for 2020 are revealed. In the number one spot – Bhutan, the world’s only carbon-negative country, takes the award for best country to visit! It was also nice to see a couple of U.S. cities included on the list. Pictured – this gorgeous scene from Galway, Ireland.

The New French Laundry

Chef Thomas Keller gives an exclusive first look at the sleeker, more efficient workspace they created at French Laundry. This was a necessary move to keep the restaurant innovative and alleviate the cramped quarters of the kitchen – they modernized and expanded the kitchen and surrounding spaces, while still keeping the breezy vibe inherent to Yountville.

7 Most Luxurious Spas

The seven most insanely luxurious spas in the world, from Tokyo to Iceland. Whether in a jungle backdrop or elevated 37 floors above the city, these are among the world’s most luxurious and remarkable reprieves. Pictured – the gorgeous YΓ€an Wellness Spa at Be Tulum Hotel, Tulum, Mexico, where you’ll be doused with herbs, citrus and even mescal!

Cheers to a wonderful and relaxing rest of your weekend!
