Hello, friends! On Sundays, I’ve been sharing a list of 7 things that have caught my eye online over the past week…here’s this Sunday’s seven:
Aaah cheese: hands-down my favorite food! Step out of your comfort zone with these nine types of cheese you probably haven’t tried.
Global wine production is down due to weak harvests in Europe as well as other issues like the wildfires in California, causing prices of basic wine to skyrocket. For those nostalgic for the golden age of opulent train travel, some companies are reviving the concept. Two articles here, the first about 5 train travel experiences designed specifically for the vinophile. And the second is really next-level: take a look at the the jaw-dropping suites in the brand new Venice Simplon Orient Express!
From a secret bowling alley in the Frick to a false wall hiding a Miró in the Guggenheim, check out these intriguing museum secrets from around the world.
I always enjoy reading GQ’s 13 best new restaurants in America list each year. Hello, Sailor, on the outskirts of Charlotte, made the cut this year! Check out their Instagram feed for more, it’s such a cute spot.
I thought these were so interesting — Cabanes des Grands Cépages in Provençal, a floating luxury eco-resort. This seems like a lovely end to a day of food and wine-tasting, doesn’t it?!…(Thanks to my friend Sara for the tip!)
A listing of the 10 best mountain towns in America. Asheville, NC deservedly made the list, and we’re headed there later this week actually, so I thought I’d include it. (And, I’ll send a recap of our trip with recommendations afterwards!)
Hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the day!
