I published my travel essentials a couple of years back, and after reviewing that list again, still use most of the items on there regularly. But, with a big trip coming up, I’ve pulled a few new travel favorites into the mix! My current packing musts are below.

Neoprene Curling Iron Holder
I went searching for this particular item since I am always left with a hot curling as the last thing to go into my suitcase, causing me to hope everything inside doesn’t melt. Amazon delivered the solution, and this is perfect to hold your flat iron or curling iron when traveling!

3 in 1 Charging Pad
I love this for travel so you don’t have to pack and wrangle so many cords. This charges your iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods all in one.

Sunglasses Travel Case
I just got this to address the multiple sunglasses cases I have floating around my bag on a big trip. Thought it was a fun and unique find!

The Drop Sweatshirt
This is a nice light sweatshirt, perfect for an extra layer on the plane. I like it so much I bought it in a couple of colors.

Lightweight Cardigan Sweater
The versatile cardigan sweater is always a classic, but here’s what makes this one a favorite: it’s lightweight, packs well and is is wrinkle resistant, It also comes in 20 colors, so there’s something for everyone. It’s #1 on Amazon for a reason!

Anker Charger
For long days with little battery, this is a compact plug in that you can add for extra juice. It’s nice and compact to fit within any-sized bag.

Travel Jewelry Case
A leather jewelry storage box with six thick velvet transparent storage bags to hold everything individually. Genius. I was previously trying to recreate this concept myself with felt bags inside my jewelry case.

Owala Water Bottle
The water bottle that is all the rage. People like this because of its easy-to-clean, dishwasher-safe lid and straw, so you can choose between “sip” and “gulp” functions. It comes in a variety of fun colorways.

White Sneakers
There’s a great white sneaker around every corner but the latest ones I’m trying and taking on my upcoming trip are this Rag & Bone retro sneaker. I like that they are a low profile with a mix of breathable mesh and leather.

Travel Wallet
My friend Jen inspired me to find this wallet. She was looking for a travel wallet that zipped around and carried everything you needed — passport, cash, cards, etc. Once I found it for her, I got myself one, too! Love that you can personalize it.

Glossier Sunscreen
I recently tried this sunscreen and it’s becoming a travel must for me. Sunscreen is a 100% must on a trip since you’re on the go outside all day. This one is a clear gel with a dry touch, so it doesn’t leave that white streakiness or clump on your face.

Cadence Capsules
If you love consistency and organization, Cadence is a great option. I take these on shorter trips (a few days). You can add labels and customize these to exactly what you need. They’re magnetic, so all of the capsules stick together, plus they’re leakproof, too.

Packing Cubes
I’ve talked about packing cubes before but a lot of people that still ask me about them. I LOVE them for long trips. I organize my clothes by city or stop so when I get to a new city I can just pull out the corresponding cube containing what I need. I would recommend selecting ones with a partial mesh top so you can see what’s inside.

Laneige Lip Treatment
This is a super-moisturizing and glowy lip balm that I always carry with me on the plane. My go to is berry but I also like the mango and grapefruit. At this point I have one in each of my work bags, one in my pool bag, etc.

Facial Wipes
I love the individual facial wipes for travel so I can keep them in my bag at all times and they don’t dry out. They also come in handy when you’re on an overnight flight and need a little freshening up at the end of the trip.

Dagne Dover Fanny Pack
Love the Dagne Dover brand — their products are made with neoprene and great to carry around. I use their x-large Landon tote for carry on and just added this fanny pack to the mix, too.

Air Tags
AirTags AKA the best luggage tags. Apple AirTags are a packing must if you want to track your checked baggage from afar. It will instantly connect with your iPhone or iPad to help you track your bag’s location in seconds.

Happy travels!
