Today I’m sharing some of my favorite essentials on repeat in classic black and neutrals, plus some fresh colors for spring. This type of outfit is basically my uniform!
Rag and Bone Booties
These are hands-down my favorite shoes I own! I have these in several colors and wear all of them frequently. They could not be more comfortable for a boot with a heel—yesterday I wore them walking through the airport and around Philadelphia all day without a bit of pain. They have a block heel and a round toe with a wraparound strap and cool little hardware details. They are a bit of an investment but they last for years. They run a bit small and I buy a half size larger than my regular size.
(I linked the boots above from Nordstrom, and they are also available here at Shopbop). I shop often at those 2 places since they make it easy with quick delivery, free returns and free shipping.)
Gorjana Gemstone Bracelets
I’ve discussed my Gorjana habit here before, but here is a closer look at the bracelets I wear all the time. I love these because the little cords are adjustable, so you can make them as tight or as loose as you want. I wear about 4 or 5 of the white and gray shades combined. But I think the colored ones are so pretty too! More colors below and at the link…
Madewell Transport Totes
I’ve tried lots of different totes and I keep coming back to Madewell as a great go-to option. It’s a perfect shape and size—square vs rectangle, with straps long enough to sling over your shoulder, but short enough to hold as a top handle. You can throw just about anything in it, and it wears really well. Best of all, it’s a very accessible price.
The black and brown are both classic colors I own. I also thought these pinks and blushes were pretty for spring!
They also have some great canvas options that I would use on the weekends, for errands or even a pool bag!
Madewell Arrowstack Necklace
This necklace from Madewell is really versatile and goes with everything since it has gold and silver both as part of the design, I find myself reaching for it all the time. This is another one that adjusts—you can see pretty well in the picture here how you can just pull it in or out to make it the length you want!
Rag and Bone Bedford Jean
I have mentioned these jeans before but can’t say enough good things about them. They have lots of good fit options, but the Bedford is my favorite. They have just enough stretch and are SO unbelievably comfortable!!
Low Profile Socks
This is super-basic, but for anyone else that identifies with those little footie socks driving you crazy and always slipping up and down, these are for you! Madewell’s are THE BEST! They are thick and don’t move on your foot. If you don’t want to spring for the Madewell ones, I’m also linking an Amazon option that is definitely my second choice!
I’m a big fan of the cardigan this time of year to go with an outfit like I have shown. These two are lightweight, and great for traveling with you throughout the day to throw on in case of a chill.
Cap Sleeve Tee
I’m wearing the black version of this tee in the picture up at the top of the post. It has some nice detailing that’s hard to see in the other photo.
Here are some other essential tees I’m liking for spring…most of these shown below come in multiple other colors!
From top, left to right:
- Cutout Linen Tee
- Ruffle Hem Tee
- Tie Front Tee
- V-Ruffle Tee
- Ruffle Sleeve Tee
- Scalloped Sleeved Tee
- Peplum Tee
Happy shopping!

I have those Rag and Bone booties and also that Transport Tote, and they are definitely part of my wardrobe, almost daily! I’m loving these tops at the end. I am in need of some new tops– let’s hope we don’t look like twins, in Calistoga 🙂 I am really into jumpsuits lately, as well, so I am hoping to get a few new ones in rotation.
You would look great in a jumpsuit!! Let me know if you try any of the tees and like them,
I’m going to try a couple of them as well. There are plenty to go around though… 😉
