TGIF, friends! Today’s post is the much-requested $12 and under reds. One of my wine teachers refers to wine at this price point as “cheap and cheery” which I find hilarious. You can definitely find some great wines below $12 to drink everyday.
My current 25 recommendations under $12 are below, and the list changes over time. Remember, wine is mainly about what YOU like and what suits YOUR palette. There are lots of great bottles on here, and lots of other great ones out there, so this definitely isn’t exhaustive, but here’s a few that you may want to try! I’ve linked each bottle to either Wine.com or Total Wine, below.
Grayson Cellars Cabernet
Robert Mondavi Bourbon Barrel Cabernet
La Playa Estate Cabernet
Honoro Vera Garnacha
Evodia Calatayud Garnacha
Alexander Valley Vineyards Temptation Zinfandel
Crios de Susana Balbo Limited Edition Red Blend
Delas Cotes du Rhone St. Esprit Rouge
Avalon Red Blend
Santa Rita Secret Reserve Red Blend
Fantini Farnese Sangiovese
Badia a Coltibuono Cetamura Chianti
St. Ema Merlot
Charles Smith Velvet Devil Merlot or (less here)
Savor Pinot Noir
Oyster Bay Pinot Noir
Line 39 Pinot Noir
Gumdale Shiraz Cab
19 Crimes Shiraz
I typically buy wine by the case for the cost savings. With 10-15% off the case price off at most places, it really takes this type of bottle closer to $10 each. Can’t beat that.
If you order from Wine.com or Total Wine, I find it worth it to sign up to get the emails from both places as they both offer ongoing discount codes!
If you try any of these wines, I’d love to hear what you think. And, if there’s a $12 and under not mentioned that you like, let me know so I can try it!

Oh! What a lovely post for a friday!! Thanks Breezer
Thanks Margaret! 🍷!
Sometimes i’m cheap and cheery, too, so this is great! 🙂
Haha. Hey, aren’t we all?!
Picked up the Bogle Cab! Thanks for the advice!
I’m glad you found something to try! Would love to know what you think!
I loved the bottle! It was a little more smoky than the other cabs, but in a good way! I would definitely buy again. Thanks.
