Hi everyone! With Father’s Day coming up in just a couple of weeks, I’m including some ideas below that I think would make great gifts for any guy!
Barbour Banchory Packable Duffel Bag
This versatile duffel made of super-light-yet-durable nylon is great for a long weekend. Classic Barbour!
A set of 2 stainless steel grilling tools with an LED flashlight built into the handles! This set includes a spatula and tongs. I know it’s so cliché, but most men DO love to grill!
Such a beer craze happening so jump on the train! Adam Dulye, executive chef to the Brewers Association, has crafted more than 75 recipes that will elevate the food you eat with your craft beer from “pub grub” to chef-driven beer cuisine. Learn about the six distinct flavor profiles of craft beer (Crisp & Clean, Hoppy & Bitter, Malty & Sweet, Rich & Roasty, Fruity & Spicy, and Sour, Tart, & Funky), and how to marry each of them with food!
Grow and Make – DIY Hot Sauce Kit
So if your guy is into hot sauce like my husband… This Deluxe DIY hot sauce kit includes everything you will need, including instructions, to make six different hot sauces at home! The kit includes all-natural ingredients like Cayenne, Ancho, Curry, New Mexico Chili Powders, Guajillo, Chipotle and more.
Classically cool aviators — a closet staple!
Ok, this is cool. Hawthorne, a new fragrance company uses science, surveys, and the world’s best noses to make you smell your best. Through a brief 5 minute survey, Hawthorne’s site gains info about your personal tastes through questions about how you dress, what you eat, and even where you work to determine which of their ten scents will work for you. They pair you up based on months of testing and surveying men to find out what kinds of smells different types of guys find most compatible with their tastes and lives. They actually hook you up with two scents that serve the same profile — one for work and one for off-hours.
Bose Soundsport Wireless Headphones
These headphones are comfortable, sweat- and weather-resistant, with Bluetooth technology and an in-line remote. If you want something with a bit of a richer audio experience and overall great auditory presence, these are a great buy!
For those who haven’t yet gotten on the AllBirds train, these are the most comfortable sneakers! They are lightweight, mold to your foot, and created to be all about comfort. If you aren’t happy with these shoes, they will take them back within 30 days, worn, no questions asked.
This book shares the author’s scientific approach to creating and managing successful startups in an age when companies need to innovate more than ever. A great book for entrepreneurs in companies of all sizes — small to large — talking about how to test vision continuously, and to adapt and adjust before it’s too late.
I thought this key kit was so cool — it takes the bulky mess of a keyring into an organized stack by folding everything in it. It fits up to seven keys and includes a slim 8GB USB 3.0 stick and a stainless steel multi-tool, which works as a bottle opener, hex wrench, box cutter, file, and a flat-head screwdriver. (I might need this for myself… but then how would I ever find my keys in the bottom of my purse?)
Mike is a fan of the Jack Black shaving products I got him for Christmas, so I’m recommending these. This includes the Pure Clean Daily Facial Cleanser, the Face Buff Energizing Scrub, the Double Duty Face Moisturizer with SPF 20 and the Intense Therapy Lip Balm. The nice thing is that this comes in the 3 oz travel sizes, so it’s a great way to test everything out without a huge commitment.
We absolutely love our Ring doorbell and I think this would make a great gift for a gadget-head! You can see, hear and speak to anyone at your door from your phone, tablet or PC. You get instant alerts on your phone when visitors press your doorbell or trigger the motion sensors attached to it, and you can watch the doorbell action on video as it’s happening so you know who is at your door. You never have to open to the magazine sellers again!
Ghost Block Single Vineyard Cabernet 2014
You know I had to include some wine in here! These are 2 bottles I’d recommend at different price points. The Jordan is at $50, and the Ghost Block, at $100. These are big, classic Napa reds, great with a big steak, and sure to please!
Ultimate Ears Superboom Waterproof Speaker
I think one of the most useful things of summer is a super-portable Bluetooth speaker that’s waterproof so you can use it at the beach or take it on the boat. This one has surprisingly big, clear, crisp 360-degree sound, and runs for 10 hours on it’s battery. It is waterproof and can float, as well! It works with Bluetooth and Bluetooth Smart enabled smartphones, tablets and other devices.
Broad Branch Distillery Whiskey
Last but not least, I have to plug my people! My uncle opened a small-batch distillery called Broad Branch a few years ago, and they are based in Winston-Salem, NC. They produce small-batch, premium cut craft spirits and yours truly helps him with his marketing and label design. There is a sweet corn mash (moonshine) product called NIGHTLAB, an aged whiskey called Nobilium, a blueberry flavored whiskey called Smashing Violet, an apple rye called Supercollider, and coming very soon, a coastal-inspired rum called Sungrazer. If you are in NC, these are available in the NC ABC stores, or email me for more info!
Happy shopping!
