Last week I posted an article about sparkling wine, how it’s made, the characteristics and the different types. The world of sparkling wine is varied and diverse and there is a lot to take in! Putting together a list of good sparkling wines isn’t easy, especially when you do so with an eye on various price points. But today I wanted to share with you a set of sparkling wines I have tried and recommend.
Some things to keep in mind:
- Unless there’s a good reason why it matters, I’m not specifying many vintages. All wines do vary from year to year but generally, these are producers you can count on year after year.
- These are tiered by price but don’t let the tiers distract you too much. All of these wines are under $200, and the majority of them are from $10–$100.
- I tried to represent each major type of sparkling wine on this list so you will find Champagne, Crémant, Prosecco, Cava, Cap Classique, Franciacorta, and some of my favorite US wines.
- As you learned last week sparkling wine can be made from almost any still base wine, so the tastes will vary widely. I did try to include a few rosé sparklers here at different price points, because I know there are many of you with an affinity for those!

Cheers!

I have been waiting for this post! And I am glad to see you included several bottles under $25, thank you! I love sparkling wine and it’s nice to know you don’t have to spend a ton to get something good.
So true! Especially with things like Cava and Crémant, there are some great values out there! Cheers!
