Last week I had the opportunity to attend the season kickoff for Charlotte Wine & Food Weekend. Charlotte Wine & Food is a great organization – they bring together leading wine makers and chefs from around the world to celebrate appreciation for great wine and food, while making significant contributions to charitable organizations that benefit children and their families in the Charlotte community. You have to love drinking great wine that gives back!
This event was one for the books – they featured Tempos Vega Sicilia wines and brought CEO Pablo Álvarez all the way from Spain to talk with us about the wines. The event was in the Wells Fargo Executive Dining Room and the food was done by Executive Chef Michael Bader. Pics from scenes are below!

We drank a GORGEOUS lineup of wines!

Michael Bader did a beautiful job with the food – below are just a couple of shots.

My Dad and I attended together with some of our other wine club friends. We had a great time!

How pretty is Charlotte all lit up?

Charlotte Wine & Food Weekend’s next event is their signature multi-day festival taking place April 24-27, 2019. Including vintner dinners at Charlotte’s top restaurants, informative and entertaining wine seminars, and the walk-around Grand Tasting featuring 100+ carefully selected wines, tastings from Charlotte-area restaurants and a mobile silent auction, these events are not to be missed! Special guests include Fred Dame, MS, representing Daou Vineyards, Laura Maniec, MS of Corkbuzz, and Kelley Jones, President of The Spire Collection to name a few. Tickets go on sale mid-February. To be notified when tickets go on sale, sign up for the CWFW’s email list at charlottewineandfood.org or follow CWFW on Facebook @CharlotteWineandFood or Instagram @cltwineandfood.

Thanks to Charlotte Wine & Food for a great night, and I also want to thank Tonya Price with Pop Rock Photography for letting me share these beautiful photos!
Cheers!

Cool event! Looks like a great evening. I know those are good wines!
They were amazing!! Wish I could do it all over again!
I can’t wait for April!! Totally have this on my calendar. Let me know if any good wine dinners are coming up in CLT!
Can’t wait! Let’s compare notes on what to go to in April. I know there will be a lot of fun stuff! Also, do you ever go to the Foxcroft Wine Company dinners? Those are a lot of fun and great food. I’m going to the Frank Family Vineyards coming up in late February. They have different ones all the time…
