The Sunday Seven 07.21.19

Here’s this week’s Sunday Seven in wine, food, lifestyle, design and travel.

Happy weekend, friends! Here’s this week’s Sunday Seven in wine, food, lifestyle, design and travel.

Touring Italy’s Wine Regions

No trip to Italy is complete without a wine-soaked visit to some of the world’s best vineyards. I enjoyed this guide to each region and which grapes to sip while there, especially since we have a week in Tuscany planned in the fall!

Drink Wine for Breakfast!

This writer set out to uncover ““Why 5 o’clock?” Why do we wait until an appointed hour to drink a glass or open a bottle? Champagne at breakfast proved to be a particularly divisive idea for the people interviewed in this article, although I personally see no problem with it! 🙂

Trees for Your Indoors

Trees that live and thrive right inside your living room! Many trees and large, tree-like plants can thrive indoors if cared for properly (the magic words). This link has a round up of 15 favorites to give you some ideas.

Outer Space Stays

To celebrate the 50th anniversary  of the “Apollo 11” moon landing, Airbnb is offering $11 stays in five spaceship-inspired homes – like this off-grid stargazing cabin outside of Joshua Tree, where you can sleep on the roofdeck!

Napa, in Terms of Michelin Stars

Along Napa’s magical rolling hills of vineyards also come some of the country’s best dining experiences. Want to dine at some of the best Cali restaurants? Here are the ins and outs for making reservations at wine country’s Michelin Guide dining options ahead of your next trip.

More on the Anniversary Sale

I shared my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks earlier this week so I thought I’d share some others’ favorites – at the link are picks from NY Mag. I also found this list that is all about the best Tumi deals. I grabbed the Voyageur at the sale, but am now considering this silver suitcase.

Month-to-Month Seasonal Eating

I am bookmarking this month-to-month guide to seasonal eating! In-season produce is often at its freshest, meaning that this is a very good gauge of what will taste best. I also was interested to read about year-round produce, like avocados, bananas, carrots, and celery.

Hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing rest of the weekend!
