It doesn’t get much easier — or more delicious — than this lemon-infused baked asparagus recipe. The entire dish comes together on a single baking sheet and is topped with a buttery parmesan mixture. Need I say more?!

Lemon-Infused Baked Asparagus
Ingredients
- 1-2 lemons, depending on how many slices you use
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 medium garlic cloves grated (about 1 teaspoon)
- 1 ½ bunches, about 24 stalks fresh asparagus, about ⅓-inch in diameter, trimmed
- ½ teaspoon Kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 3 tablespoons salted butter, softened
- 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup chopped mixed fresh herbs such as basil, tarragon, or flat-leaf parsley
Preparation
-
1. Gather the ingredients. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Grate the zest of a lemon into a small bowl and stir in the oil and garlic. Cut ends off the lemon and discard. Slice the lemon into thin rounds.
-
2. Toss together the asparagus, lemon slices, and oil mixture on a large rimmed baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and toss to evenly coat. Spread out in an even layer on a baking sheet.
-
3. Meanwhile, mash together the butter and cheese in a small bowl until combined.
-
4. Bake the asparagus for 8 minutes. Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Spoon buttery cheese mixture evenly over the asparagus. Toss until evenly coated and the mixture forms a creamy sauce, then spread in an even layer. Return asparagus to the oven and bake until crisp-tender, about 5 minutes.
-
5. Transfer the asparagus to a serving platter. Spoon the buttery parmesan mixture over the top and sprinkle with herbs.
