The Edit: Loving Lately

Hi all! Thought I’d share some recent purchases that I have been loving with you all today. These are some finds for the home as well as some things I’ve been wearing lately.

For the home:

Mercer Platter
I’ve been using this Mercer Platter from Crate&Barrel for my cheese plates lately, and I’m really happy with it. I included one of my recent cheese spreads below so you could see how much it holds. I looked all over for a simple large white tray – this one is 17.5 x 11.5 for reference. This piece also works well as a drink tray as C&B showed in the bottom pic.

Espresso Harmony Cheese Board with Knife
Another serving plate I’m loving by Nambé, which is one of my favorite brands. This one is great for smaller, more formal gatherings.

Riedel Stemless Wine Glasses
A couple of people have asked me about glasses lately. These are one of my go-tos for stemless glasses. If you’ve seen these before you probably know that they come in different sizes that they classify by varietal. I think this particular shape, the Cabernet/Merlot is perfect for most all wines — it’s not too large, so you can drink whites in it as well, and it fits really nicely in your hand. I put my Riedels in the diswasher, I’m not sure if you’re really supposed to but it’s SO much easier this way and I’ve only lost a couple in the dishwasher, ever (and you know how much wine I drink so we wash a lot of glasses!)

Salt & Pepper Grinder Set
We picked these up from Amazon recently and are loving them! You push the top down to grind the salt and pepper out. They don’t leak and leave salt everywhere on the table like some others I’ve had.

Hourglass
We have a small collection of these on our den bookshelves and I just added this one – I was really pleased with the quality of it and the look in person. If you are in the market for a shelf-filler/ bookcase idea this might be for you!

Nesting Tables
I’m using these nesting tables outdoors on our deck. Not sure if they are supposed to be for outdoors but so far so good, and I like that they look invisible. I was very happy with the quality and weight of the acrylic especially considering it was from CB2, which I wasn’t initially sure about. I actually liked these so much I ended up ordering this bench for the foot of our bed, and it’s even heavier!

String Lights and Cityscape Planter from West Elm
I mentioned to you guys last week that I was hanging string lights from this tree – here it is all strung up. I’ve actually had these string lights for a few years and they haven’t burned out or broken, I’ve been really happy with them. Definitely would recommend this planter, as well.

 

What I’m wearing:

Stone Tassel Necklace
You know I love anything with tassels and I also love light-colored necklaces for summer. This one is perfection!

Stripe Camp Shirt
This is a really cute recent purchase in a gauzy cotton — perfect for summer days. I’m wearing mine with cutoffs but I also think light blue jeans or white jeans would be perfect!

Embroidered Dress
This one is a few weeks old but I adore this fun embroidered dress and it’s a great fit and price! I just found it on sale at Neimans Last Call and linked that above.

Pillow Talk Lipstick
I bought this because I heard over and over how this shade looked good on everyone, and well, I can’t speak for everyone, I did really like it on. If you guys are interested, I say give it a shot, it’s neutral with just a hint of pink!

Brow Pomade
My brow pencil rubs off in about 2 minutes so I’ve been happy that this pomade stays put. You brush it on and it’s not NEARLY as dark as the model’s…😬

Tie Front Top
This isn’t the best picture, but I have loved this top (and this “everyday” sparkling rosé, natch). The top is from Nordstrom and you can tie it or not in the front, click through to the link to see it untied…

Rainbow Stripe Dress
This is so cute for summer and perfect to throw on with white sneakers!

Vince Blair 5 Perforated Sneaker
Speaking of, I ordered these in the tan color but also love this crisp white. We also got my Mom the tan for Mother’s Day and she loves hers!

Ikat Dot Dress
I’m wearing this Loft dress as a great casual work dress / brunch dress. Really light, airy and comfortable!

Miuco Handbag
I’m already kind of tired of seeing these bags, so I’m glad I only paid $40 for this one! I have a feeling these might be one-season wonders, although I’m willing to admit I could very well be wrong! Anyway, if you want to jump on the trend wagon without a lot of investment, I was really happy with the quality level of this one, and it’s a really great look for spring and summer!

Ikat Swing Dress
This is the most comfortable dress I have put on in a while! I love how easy it is to throw on and the print is super-cute up close. My hubby loves this on, I get compliments every time!
