What Hawaiian Architectural Paradise Looks Like

This Hawaiian home is simply, paradise. The home was designed as a series of pavilions, reachable by walking under the protection of their cantilevered roofs. Each pavilion is a seamlessly flexible indoor-outdoor space. Tour the home at the link.

Eat Pasta & Bread To Live Longer

Over 400,000 men and women were surveyed about their eating habits over a 15-year span. Results showed that eating protein from plant-based foods, including pasta and bread, has been linked to a lower risk of dying. COUNT ME IN!

Try Cameron Diaz’s Wine

Cameron Diaz and her business partner Katherine Power were not happy with the lack of readily available organic wines on the market, so they made their own. Avaline wines are clean, vegan-friendly, made with organic grapes, and free of unnecessary add-ins — with a label that prominently displays the ingredients. Looking forward to trying this one.

Discover Black-Owned Rosés

Black-owned winemakers make some excellent rosé – the ultimate drink of summer. The list of rosés at the link are your ticket to enjoy some of the best Black-owned wineries around the world. Support these businesses reading their stories, plan a trip to visit their tasting room, or purchasing a bottle online.

The Resurgence of Art Deco

For years, the design trend in LA’s foodie scene has been a Scandinavian-inflected California cool — blond woods, white walls, minimalist furnishings, lots of natural light. More at the link.

Stay in a Top 100 Hotel

Warning — you may experience major travel envy checking out Travel + Leisure’s list of top 100 hotels in the world. I went down a rabbit hole for a couple of hours adding several of these to my travel goals post-pandemic. Near the top of their list, Secret Bay in Dominica and Canaves Oia Epitome in Santorini were also at the top of my list. And for now, a girl can dream!

Cheers to a wonderful rest of your weekend!
