This week’s Sunday Seven is full of things I’d happily travel for: Riviera gardens, a cheese-fueled road trip through Belgium, art worth planning a weekend around and, of course, a few beautiful spaces. Here are seven things that caught my eye this week.
Coco Chanel’s Riviera Revival

Coco Chanel’s legendary French Riviera retreat, La Pausa, has been meticulously restored to its 1930s glory by architect Peter Marino. Think lavender and iris-filled gardens, centuries-old olive trees, and that unmistakable Côte d’Azur elegance. I could look at this place all day.

California now has 10 Michelin three-star restaurants, which is more than the rest of the U.S. combined. New additions include Sonoma’s Enclos and Californios in San Francisco, which became the first Mexican restaurant in the world to earn Michelin’s three stars.

Belgium has more than 300 varieties of cheese and apparently reason enough to plan an entire road trip around them – hey, I will take any excuse! This route winds from Brussels through the countryside with stops at cheese shops, family dairies, and even bikeable stretches between tastings.

One of the few places still (mostly) protected from other people’s phone calls may be disappearing. British Airways is now allowing voice and video calls over Wi Fi, and while passengers are being asked to keep their voices down, I’m not sure anyone is ready for everyone on the plane to be in meetings!

Goop Gets a Dining Room

Goop Kitchen has opened its first-ever sit-down restaurant in Del Mar, with Gwyneth Paltrow describing the design inspiration as “Parisian New York.” The space blends warm, sophisticated interiors with the Goop’s Cali wellness aesthetic. I’m a fan and definitely curious.
