2021 has been an interesting year in many ways. I think we all thought we’d be out of the pandemic, and it has just seemed to press on (and on!). That said, some things got back to – or towards – normal, and I think many of us developed new perspectives.
As I look back on 2021, these are the purchases I enjoyed using, wearing, and appreciating the most. My top 12 of ’21.
This thing is well, a beast. I am OBSESSED with this blender. It’s super-quiet and powerful and blends very quickly. That said, I also love the way it looks and that’s what originally drew me to it. Most blenders are so ugly sitting out on your counter – and they usually have a really big logo on the front. This one is sleek and clean.
Because sometimes, it just makes me happy to look at a shiny, pretty object! I have this out on our coffee table. It reminds me of a snow globe, but you can leave it out year round.
This comes in an electric version as well as stovetop. We have the stovetop version and use it all the time for pour-over coffee and for tea. I love the Danish minimal look, and it heats up very quickly.
If you are a frequent reader of this blog you have heard me ramble on about this wine cooler many times now – but it’s that good! This keeps your wine to temp, period. It comes in many colors and I have been so happy with it, I now have multiple. Perfect for serving wine at parties.
Nothing techy here, but these are really heavy and well-made. I am so glad I upgraded my old set and smile every time I use these!
This is a brow game-changer if your brows are in need of a little oomph. This is textured like hair pomade, and gives your brows soft, flexible hold and additional volume. As a plus, it has collagen to condition and moisturize.
I am a very late convert to the Dyson hairdryer. Mike gifted this to me for Christmas, and I was skeptical at first, but this thing dries so incredibly fast that I will not go back! I really love this Prussian blue and copper combo, and it comes with its own storage box.
This was one of my favorite bag purchases this year – but really, I was just glad to finally be able to go somewhere and carry a cute bag! Love the studs, and it’s the perfect size for a night out.
I have talked about this lipstick before, too, but it is the perfect neutral that really does look good on everyone! I wear it daily now, and have the Pillow Talk glosses to layer on top.
I adore beautiful glassware and these new glasses from Vietri are the best! You have to love a glass you can leave out on display. This is a great way to freshen up a bar area at home!
I love that Cuyana started making laptop cases. They are just as well-made as their bags. I have a few colors and styles – they fit in my travel totes perfectly, and look chic for meetings.
I found this brand this past summer and have bought and loved using several of their pouches. I use the one pictured for my carry-on liquids (much nicer than a Ziploc!) and I also like the pouch set I linked above for my makeup and toiletries.
