Appetizers Art + Design Sides

Entertaining for Mother’s Day

Sharing some pictures of our Mother's Day celebration with you all! 🌻

This weekend we had my Mom and Dad, and my sister, her husband, and her kids over for Mother’s Day. I thought I’d share a few pictures of the house and day with you all!

We recently got deck furniture which I told you guys I’d share, and you can see that in the pictures below. The adirondacks are the Emmett Lounge Chairs from Room & Board. The coffee table is the Element Coffee Table from CB2, and the Planter is the Cityscape Planter from West Elm.

I know the tree looks kind of random but it will hopefully get prettier as it grows. It’s called a Limelight Hydrangea. The idea is to string up our string lights from one corner of the house/deck to the other with the tree being the in middle of the “L” shape, where the lights will turn the corner via a stake in the planter. Stay tuned for that…

This is our screen porch which we LOVE spending time on. The furniture has been there a while but the tile is new and we are so excited to have it! The chairs are Bertoia from Design Within Reach (DWR) and come in lots of colors and finishes! The 2 green chairs are Panton, also from DWR, and they also come in lots of colors. The Bubble Lounger sofa is also from DWR (I know I sound like a broken record, I swear DWR isn’t paying me but lord I wish they would!! Haha) — and I had the cushions on the sofa made locally. The 2 cubes are Primary Poufs and they double as seating as well as a coffee table of sorts – these also come in lots of options! The table is old West Elm. The pillows are from Unison Home.

I made a fruit and cheese board appetizer spread for the adults and the kids – it went fast! I think you guys can recognize pretty much everything on here – the cheeses are a triple creme Brie and Havarti, which I knew would be a hit with the kids.

Last but not least, my sweet little niece!

For dinner, we grilled burgers, and I made Ina’s Arugula salad which is my absolute go-to – as well as Fruit Salad with Fresh Mint and Honey. I also made these Baked Parmesan Truffle Fries that were so good and easy to make! I’m going to link the recipe in a separate blog post that I put up today, you can find that HERE.

I hope that you all had good weekends and that your week is off to a good start!

Cheers!
